Before you begin
Acquire access to The Learning Center and get an HPE Learner ID. If this certification requires a written or online exam (HPE0 or HPE6 or HPE2), then create a user profile with Pearson VUE, our exam vendor for proctored/online exams. Practical exams (HPE1 or HPE0-AxxxP) are delivered through PSI or Aruba Education Services, therefore no Pearson VUE user profile is required.
Certification Description
This certification validates that you can professionally describe complex security threats and vulnerabilities, including device hardening, implementation of security at the edge with AAA, advanced roles and firewall policies. You’ll also learn how to implement Zero Trust Security and protect networks from threats, configure Aruba network infrastructure and ClearPass solutions to authenticate and control both wired and wireless users, collect a variety of contextual information on ClearPass Policy Manager, and implement advanced role mapping and enforcement policies, and use ClearPass Device Insight to enhance visibility.

- Uses and advantages of clustering
- Redundancy and providing user seamless failover
- Utilizing MultiZone to have multiple and separate secure networks while using the same Access Point (AP)
- Utilizing secure Tunneled Node for wired switches
- Utilizing AirWave to monitor the health of the wired and wireless network
- Troubleshooting devices, users and applications on Aruba Mobile First networks
Ideal candidate
Typical candidates for this certification are network engineers responsible for implementing security controls on enterprise networks.
The candidates should be able to describe the network security stack (firewall, proxy, remote access, IDS/IPS, access control, NTA, UEBA). They have worked two to three years in networking with a one-year security focus.

Three to five days after you complete all requirements, you receive an email notification. Then your status in The Learning Center becomes “acquired”.
If you renewed this certification through a recertification path, you will also recertify any lower level certifications you achieved within the same domain. Example: Renewal of ACMX will renew ACMP and ACMA. All renewed certifications from the one renewal path will have the same new expiration date.
If you renewed this certification by completing the Edge certification or the Edge recertification path at any level (Associate/Professional/Expert), this will renew all certifications you achieved at that same level and any lower levels you have achieved. Example: ACEP renews ACMP, ACSP, ACCP, ACDP etc. and any Associate level you already achieved. All renewed certifications from the Edge certification or recertification path will have the same new expiration date.
