Before you begin
Acquire access to The Learning Center and get an HPE Learner ID. If this certification requires a written or online exam (HPE0 or HPE6 or HPE2), then create a user profile with Pearson VUE, our exam vendor for proctored/online exams. Practical exams (HPE1 or HPE0-AxxxP) are delivered through PSI or Aruba Education Services, therefore no Pearson VUE user profile is required.

This certification validates that you can describe common security threats and vulnerabilities with an understanding of
- Device hardening
- Implementation of security at the edge with AAA
- Basic roles and firewall policies
- Dynamic segmentation
- Endpoint classification
- Basic threat detection technologies
- Collecting logs and alarms.
Ideal candidate
Typical candidates for this certification should be a network engineer or help desk engineer working in either a customer or partner environment. The candidate should have worked six months to a year in networking in both wired and wireless knowledge.

Upon Completion
Three to five days after you complete all requirements, you receive an email notification. Then your status in The Learning Center becomes “acquired”. Track your training and certification progress through your transcripts in The Learning Center.
